Message Vault — Privacy Policy

Message Vault is built around one promise: your messages belong to you, and only to you.

What we collect

Nothing. Bs Boys LLC does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software development kits. We have no servers, and we have no way to see your messages or how you use the app.

How message importing works

Message Vault never reads your messages on its own. Messages enter the app only when you run the Vault Sync shortcut yourself in Apple's Shortcuts app, and iOS shows you exactly what is being shared with Message Vault each time, unless you choose to always allow it. The app then encrypts what you imported on your device.

Where your data lives

Your archive is stored on your device, encrypted, inside the app's private storage. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, an encrypted copy is stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account. It is encrypted on your device before upload with a key that stays in your device's Keychain — Bs Boys LLC cannot read it, and neither can anyone who does not hold your key or recovery phrase.

iCloud is Apple's service. Like any iCloud data, Apple's systems process service metadata about the encrypted records — such as opaque record identifiers, timestamps, sizes, and change activity — but the content of your messages is only ever uploaded as ciphertext.

Your recovery phrase

If you set up recovery, the app generates a recovery phrase that only you hold. It is the only way to restore your encrypted vault on a new device. We never see it, never store it, and cannot recover it — or your vault — if it is lost.

Deletion

Delete Vault inside the app removes your local encrypted archive, its keys, and the encrypted records in your iCloud database, and tells you honestly if any cloud cleanup is still pending. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

Children's privacy

Message Vault collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised effective date.
